Prime Video’s television adaptation of Criminal, the series of comics by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, has found its lead.

According to Variety, Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim pictured above, Crimson Peak) is set to star in the show as a character named Leo. His role, according to a statement, is described as “a brilliant master thief who sees all the angles, and specializes in plans with no guns and no violence. Like a chess player, Leo thinks three moves ahead. Other crooks think he’s a coward, especially compared to his father Tommy, who went to jail for murdering the most feared man in the city, Teeg Lawless.”

The Criminal comic books are described as “an interlocking universe of crime stories.” In addition to Hunnam, the series will also see actors Adria Arjona as the car thief Greta, Richard Jenkins as the uncle-like Ivan, and Kadeem Hardison as the former boxer Gnarly on the call sheet. The series will be co-showrun by Brubaker and Jordan Harper (The Mentalist, Gotham). Phillips also executive produces, along with Sarah Carbiener and Phillip Barnett. Legendary Television is an executive producer, with Amazon MGM Studios producing.

No news yet on when the series will go into production or make its way onto Prime Video. icon-paragraph-end
